The US warns Nicaragua
Development: On 25 January the US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, released a press statement calling the 6 November general elections in Nicaragua “a setback to democracy” and stating that the US “will continue to apply aggressive scrutiny to project loans at the Inter-American Development Bank [IDB] and World Bank”.
