Funes challenged over security appointments
Development: On 21 February a set of civil society groups presented the constitutional chamber of the supreme court of justice (CSJ) with a constitutional appeal against President Mauricio Funes’s recent appointments of two former military men, David Munguía Payés and Francisco Salinas, as justice & public security minister and head of the national police (PNC) respectively.
