Self-defence groups still restive in Michoacán

Following its decision to intervene in the troubled state of Michoacán and to co-opt the local ‘self-defence groups’ to tackle jointly the local criminal organisation Los Caballeros Templarios (LCT) [RM-14-02], the government led by President Enrique Peña Nieto is still having trouble keeping the self-defence groups in line.
