INFRASTRUCTURE: Expansion of road infrastructure makes progress but much remains to be done
President Ollanta Humala on 5 May stated that the reduction of almost 2% in poverty levels in the country between 2012 and 2013 – a reduction that reached 5% in rural areas (including extreme poverty) – were huge achievements that had been made possible through an expansion of the state’s presence across Peru.
