POLITICS: Neuquén unhappy over ‘Galuccio Law’

Some say that Jorge Sapag, the governor of the Patagonian province of Neuquén and normally a close ally of the federal government led by President Cristina Fernández, is having rebellious thoughts. In a recent highly coded speech, he called for “autonomous provinces in a sovereign republic”, adding that “we Neuquinos don’t build islands, but we don’t accept colonies”.
