HONDURAS: Hernández heads South; First Lady North
It was a case of a traditional division of labour for the Honduran first couple this week, with President Juan Orlando Hernández heading south to Brazil to watch some football and buy new military hardware from Embraer, while his wife and First Lady, Ana García de Hernández, the conservative Catholic mother to the president’s four children, travelled north to the Mexican border to witness the plight of the hundreds of young Honduran illegal migrants holed up in emergency shelters just inside the US border.
