PARAGUAY | More evidence of local cocaine processing. The discovery of what had been described as a ‘mega-laboratory’ in the Fátima district of Encarnación, Itapúa, has provided evidence that traffickers in Paraguay are at least experimenting with the full cycle of cocaine processing. Apart from seizing 18 kilos of cocaine, 6 kilos of crack and a large store of chemicals used in processing, the authorities found 15 bags of dried coca leaves, which they believe were flown in from Bolivia.
