More than six million faceless victims of Colombia’s long and brutal armed conflict were finally given a voice on 16 August with the participation of a dozen of their number in the peace negotiations between the government led by President Juan Manuel Santos and the Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (Farc) in Cuba.
