BOLIVIA-PERU | Radars to disrupt cocaine airbridge. On 12 August Bolivia’s deputy minister for social defence and controlled substances, Felipe Cáceres, announced that a meeting with Peruvian authorities has been scheduled for October to discuss a joint effort to monitor the illicit flights across their common border with radars. Bolivia intends to install radars in at least 10 border locations and hopes that Peru will do likewise in three locations.
