Last month the Panama Canal authority (ACP) and Grupo Unidos por el Canal (GUPC), the multinational consortium carrying out the construction work on the Canal’s third set of locks – the biggest project under the US$5.2bn Canal expansion plan - inked a deal aimed at ending the uncertainty about the project’s completion.
