Barring another game-changing event, Brazil's President Dilma Rousseff of the ruling Partido dos Trabalhadores (PT) and Marina Silva of the Partido Socialista Brasileiro (PSB) will face each other in a second round of the presidential election on 26 October. In the latest Ibope opinion poll, Rousseff is predicted to win 38% of the vote on 5 October; Silva is forecast to win 29%; and Aécio Neves of the Partido da Social Democracia Brasileira (PSDB) 19%.
