Moody’s warns of effects of Argentina’s economic deterioration. On 23 September the ratings agency, Moody’s, released a report labelling Argentina as the “riskiest” country for investors out of six Latin American countries surveyed and said that the sustained deterioration of the [Argentine] economy threatens to damage a great part of the progress achieved during the last decade” in Latin America. The warning from Moody’s comes amid signs that the economies of Argentina’s closest neighbours (Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay) are already starting to be affected by Argentina’s economic woes.
