Ecuador, Venezuela rapped over human rights

Development: On 20 October the United Nations (UN) High Commissioner for Human Rights urged the Venezuelan authorities to immediately release two opposition leaders arrested in February, while the US-based NGO, Human Rights Watch (HRW), rapped Ecuador over what it said was the security forces’ excessive use of force to disperse large scale anti-government protests in mid-September.
