DIPLOMACY: Bachelet in Europe

President Michelle Bachelet paid a three-day visit to Europe in late October – her first since taking office in March for a second four year term. Accompanied by a high level delegation including the ministers for foreign affairs (Heraldo Muñoz), economy (Luis Felipe Céspedes), public works (Alberto Undurraga), energy (Máximo Pacheco), mining (Aurora Williams) and the secretary for the presidency (Ximena Rincón), Bachelet’s visit was aimed at boosting trade and investment.
