Brazil could more than halve homicides by 2030

In relative terms Brazil is proportionally spending on public security almost the same as the European Union (EU) and slightly more than the US. However, the annual report of the Fórum Brasileiro de Segurança Pública (FBSP) notes that the results yielded by this level of spending are far lower. The FBSP argues that Brazil has the wherewithal to bring down sharply at least one of the headline indicators of public insecurity: its homicide rate.
