Copper unrest: On 28 November over 200 supervisors from the mining giant Anglo American held a one-day strike at one of its Chilean mines (Los Bronces).It was the first ever labour action by supervisors in the private mining sector. An unprecedented motion to strike was approved on 18 November, after Anglo American rejected a list of 20 demands from the president of the supervisors’ union, including a 5% annual salary increase.
