Renewable energy production continues to take off in Central America

As part of its long-held objective of attaining energy security, the countries comprising the Central American isthmus continue to move towards developing renewable energy production centres. While various countries advanced on this front last year, Panama has unveiled plans for its first commercial wind energy farm, which is set to become Central America’s largest to date, providing a significant boost to the sector.
