Jamaica has become something of a poster boy for the International Monetary Fund (IMF) given the way it has taken some nasty tasting medicine without complaint. In November, the IMF reported that the economic transformation programme provided a path “to sustained growth and job creation”, was on track, and that “policy implementation remains strong”.
