MEXICO | Crime in DF down, highly localised. The public security secretariat of the federal district (Mexico City, DF) reported in early April that crime across the board in the first quarter of this year was down 15.7%, and that police had been able to arrest 35,876 suspects (21% of them charged with high-impact crimes) and disrupt 926 criminal ‘cells’ and 436 criminal bands.
