Andean Group - June 2015 (ISSN 1741-4466)

In May the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) released its annual State of Food Insecurity in the World (SOFI 2015) report, according to which the Andean region is making good progress towards improved food security. The report noted that Venezuela, Peru, and Bolivia had all achieved the Millennium Development Goal to halve the proportion of undernourished people by 2015 (MDG 1c).
