Metaphorically speaking, President Michele Bachelet is like a driver caught in a particularly muddy patch of road: her approval ratings have plunged amid corruption cases and on-going protests over education. One attempt to get some traction and drive herself out of the mess was her cabinet reshuffle in early May. But she is still not out of the mud.
