HONDURAS: Third consecutive year of improvement

For the third year running the number of homicides in Honduras has been falling. In the first seven months of this year there were 3,000 cases ― marking a trend which, if maintained, could lead to a 20% fall since 2014. Both of the most dangerous cities, Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula, and to the surprise of many it was the latter that recorded the greatest decline.
