Barbados: Leveraged to tourism

Continuing growth in inbound tourism to Barbados should support the slow recovery of the economy over the next year or so. In the meantime, there is limited evidence of increased activity in the more important finance/other services sector. Continued fiscal austerity on the part of government will continue to constrain the pace of expansion. Structural reforms, if they happen, represent a positive wildcard.
