On 6 October Peru was among 12 Pacific Rim countries to sign the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), the world’s largest free trade agreement. A few days later, on 9-11 October, the country became the first Latin American nation to host the Annual General Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG) in almost 50 years.
