Development: On 25 November Luis Manuel Díaz, the local leader of the Venezuelan opposition party Acción Democrática (AD) in Altagracia de Orituco (Guárico state) and a candidate in the upcoming national legislative elections, was shot dead during a campaign rally, according to AD chairman Henry Ramos Allup.
