BRAZIL POLITICS: Cerveró’s testimony implicates four presidents
In his testimony to the investigators leading Operation Car Wash, Nestor Cerveró, the former director of international services at Petrobras, has implicated three former presidents: Lula da Silva, Fernando Henrique Cardoso, Fernando Collor, as well as the incumbent, Dilma Rousseff. The accusations levelled at each vary enormously in seriousness and specificity, but it does compound the impression that the corruption revealed by the investigation was systemic rather than partisan.
