COLOMBIA: The peace process: all but completed?

The January announcement that the United Nations will send a mission to monitor the implementation of future peace accords is the strongest signal yet that a final deal between the government and the Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (Farc) is imminent. Meanwhile Colombia is looking to the US for continued support as the focus turns to neutralizing organised criminal gangs.
