This week Bolivia’s President Evo Morales travelled to Brasília to meet President Dilma Rousseff – his first official meeting with Rousseff in Brazil since she took office in 2011. Morales’s visit, which follows other recent meetings between high-level officials from both sides, produced agreements in the traditional area of energy cooperation as well as railway infrastructure (see sidebar) and anti-drug efforts among other areas.
