ARGENTINA POLITICS: Congress close to approving holdout deal

On Tuesday, 15 March, Argentina’s legislators began to debate whether to repeal two laws, which, if overturned, will allow the government of Mauricio Macri to settle the longstanding dispute with the country’s holdout creditors. The vote is set to be close, but the government is increasingly confident that it has the numbers to see the deal passed.
