MEXICO: Oil exports still plummeting

Mexico’s oil exports fell by 45.8% year on year in February, according to the latest data from the national statistics institute (Inegi), to a value of just US$1.12bn. There are some tentative hopes that things are bottoming out; in December oil exports had fallen 50.8%, and in January by 49%. Overall in 2015, oil sales were down 45%. There is a very long way to go before talk of any recovery, however.
