The dust has settled after Peru’s presidential and congressional elections on 10 April and the second round is now underway in earnest. Several opinion surveys indicate that Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, a distant second in the first round, has not only overturned the 19-percentage point margin of victory of Keiko Fujimori but also established a slight lead of his own ahead of the run-off on 5 June.
