Political agreement to install new judicial system in Uruguay

Development: On 3 May Uruguay’s President Tabaré Vázquez announced that all of the country’s political parties represented in the national congress, the supreme court (SCJ) and the public ministry had agreed to start implementing a new penal judicial process (CPP) in the country from January 2017.
