Unrest is once again taking hold of Mexico’s education sector. Two latent conflicts in the sector have almost simultaneously flared up and are threatening to turn into major public protests that could undermine and even derail the efforts by the federal government led by President Enrique Peña Nieto to overhaul the country’s education system before the end of its term in 2018.
