Paraguay: Full maquila ahead?
The Paraguayan maquila or in-bond assembly plant sector is still relatively small and somewhat overshadowed by the recession in Brazil, its giant neighbour and most important export market. But even in this unpromising context there are signs of dynamism: despite the Brazilian recession, maquila exports are growing.
