PERU: Keiko Fujimori pulls away despite last-minute scandal

Despite some rather serious misconduct allegations against her vice-presidential running mate and other senior members of the her right-wing party, Fuerza Popular (FP), Keiko Fujimori was poised and confident in the final debate on 29 May, a week before Peru’s presidential run-off ballot on 5 June. Her rival, Pedro Pablo Kuczynski Kuczynski of the centrist Peruanos por el Kambio (PPK) party, by contrast was a little wooden and slow in his delivery, albeit there was no doubt as to his main message.
