Despite a timely recovery in global agricultural commodities’ prices, the fortunes of Brazil and Argentina’s farmers have been markedly divergent in recent months. After several difficult years, Argentine farmers are back in the driving seat. By contrast, their Brazilian counterparts are struggling to stay afloat, amid a debilitating lack of finance.
