VENEZUELA: Stalemate continues

There is so much – and yet so little – happening in Venezuela. While the economic and social situation appears dangerously close to implosion, the government led by President Nicolás Maduro and the opposition Mesa de la Unidad Democrática (MUD) remain locked in a seemingly intractable political standoff.
