Venezuela and Colombia discuss reopening shared border

Development: On 30 June Venezuela’s and Colombia’s defence ministers, respectively General Vladimir Padrino López and Luis Carlos Villegas, met in Venezuela’s capital, Caracas, to discuss the prospects of re-opening the countries’ shared border since Venezuela’s unilateral decision to close it last year citing national security concerns.
