COLOMBIA | HOMICIDE RATE DOWN TO 15-YEAR LOW. The homicide rate in Colombia has fallen to its lowest level in 15 years, according to the Instituto de Medicina Legal y Ciencias Forenses. This means the homicide rate was 24.03 per 100,000 inhabitants in 2015, down from 26.49 in the previous year. In absolute terms there were 11,585 murders in 2015, down by 1,041 on 2014.
