Call for a security summit in Paraguay as tensions rise over EPP attack

Development: On 30 August the president of Paraguay’s senate, Robert Acevedo, called for a summit of the three powers of state to discuss the pressing issues of deteriorating public security in the wake of the recent deadly attack attributed to the insurgent Ejército del Pueblo Paraguayo (EPP) armed guerrilla group.
