JAMAICA: PNP embroiled in funding scandal

Jamaica’s opposition People’s National Party (PNP) lost the February general election by only the narrowest of margins, by 31 seats to the 32 secured by the now-ruling Jamaica Labour Party (JLP). But a scandal that erupted in August over the funding of the PNP’s election campaign suggests the party faces an extended period of disarray.
