Trilateral maritime accord sealed

For the first time in 200 years, Ecuador has now established mutually recognised boundaries with its three neighbours, Peru, Colombia, and Costa Rica. Ecuador’s President Rafael Correa paid host to his peers from Colombia and Costa Rica, Juan Manuel Santos and Luis Guillermo Solís respectively, in the Galápagos islands on 2 September, to celebrate the definitive settlement of the trilateral maritime borders between their countries.
