Region: Climate change will impact agriculture

The region of Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) has a good record for developing agriculture, reducing hunger and improving food security. Yet over the next few decades some of these gains will be challenged by climate change. That is the conclusion of a major report written jointly by the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), the Economic Commission for Latin America (ECLAC) and the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI).[1]
