Peña Nieto loses right-hand man

Luis Videgaray Caso has stepped down from his position as the head of Mexico’s finance ministry (SHCP). Yet Videgaray appears to have paid the price for Mexico’s underwhelming economic performance under Peña Nieto and for being behind the highly controversial decision to invite the US Republican Party presidential candidate, Donald Trump, to meet with Peña Nieto [RM-16-09].
