Venezuela overtaking El Salvador for violence?

Venezuela’s deep economic and social crisis has been accompanied by a surge in the already-high murder rate, placing the country alongside El Salvador as the most violent in the world in 2015, with an estimated homicide rate of 90 per 100,000, and an impunity rate of 90%.
