Crime and insecurity still problem number one

At the end of September Inegi, the national statistics institute, published the results of its annual victimisation survey, considered the single most reliable measure of the impact of crime in Mexican society. While there have been some marginal improvements in certain areas, the overall picture shows that the government of President Enrique Peña Nieto is failing in its attempt to improve levels of citizen security.
