ECUADOR-PERU: Correa and Kuczynski seek to deepen integration

Ecuador’s President Rafael Correa hosted his Peruvian peer Pedro Pablo Kuczynski on 7 October during their first binational cabinet meeting, and tenth overall, in Macas, the capital of Ecuador’s south-eastern Amazonian province of Morona Santiago. The heads of state announced their political commitment to building a joint future in order to improve the wellbeing and development of their peoples, especially those living in the shared border area. They also discussed the need to deepen integration, particularly in the field of energy.
