Pollution found in troubled waters

The winding River Uruguay, which separates Uruguay and Argentina, has been the source of fierce diplomatic tension between the two countries for the past ten years due to concerns that the development of two major pulp mills on the Uruguayan bank of the river could pollute and significantly damage the riverine ecosystem. However, Argentina and Uruguay have now taken a significant step designed to put an end to this source of tension.
