Donald Trump’s unexpected victory was the big headline story of the US elections. But in a number of states people voted on other issues as well: among them, legalising the recreational use of marijuana, which could have significant implications for Mexico. In four states – California, Massachusetts Maine and Nevada – the electorate voted to legalise recreational marijuana (in Arizona, however, voters went the other way and rejected a similar proposal).
