Colombia: Charges filed in police scandal

Retired Colonel Jerson Jair Castellanos, the former security chief of congress, has been charged with running a gay prostitution ring in Colombia’s largest police training school in Bogotá. Castellanos was accused by the prosecution of using his powerful position to “recruit cadets to meet officials in exchange for payments”. He also stands accused of personally drugging and raping one of the witnesses in the case.
